Psalm 79:13 (KJV): So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 02 Dec 2025

Those who are called by the name of Jehovah don’t need anyone to convince them that they should always thank Him. They know who He is and that God is the reason why they are alive and He is the reason for their being. They know also that they are who they are and have what they have only because Jehovah has enabled them. But this is not so with those who are outside of the commonwealth of Christ’s kingdom. They ascribe everything to their own wisdom, strength and ability, so they refuse to thank Jehovah, instead they direct their thanksgiving to some idols who they call their gods. Some even idolise themselves and see no reason to be thankful to anyone other than themselves. I don’t know what camp you belong to but I implore you to thank Jehovah always.
