God’s Word for Today - 07 Nov 2025
Ezekiel 22:29 (KJV): The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 07 Nov 2025
Today’s scripture describes what we see happening in many parts of the world today where oppression is the order of the day and the underprivileged and the stranger are at the receiving end of horrible and inhumane injustice. People who behave in this way are driven by anything but the love of God and their fellow humans. Indeed they are, knowingly or unknowingly, serving the devil in fulfilling his grand plan of destroying the order of Jehovah for humanity. But what is really sad is that there are many churchgoers who applaud this insane behaviour and must be reminded that God is not pleased with them when they behave like this. I implore you to deeply examine yourself and see if you are in any way doing what God condemns or applauding those who do it. I will have you know that those who persecute the poor and needy will not escape God’s wrath unless they forsake their wickedness.
Pray: Merciful God, have mercy on us Your children who have missed it and help us to restitute our ways and stop all forms of oppression. #Mok
