Joshua 24:14 (KJV): Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 07 Oct 2026

Increasingly fewer people in the world today can lay claim to not having heard of Yahweh and the Kingdom rights He is offering to everyone who will come to Him by accepting the gift of salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, His only begotten Son. In their time of ignorance people have worshipped whatever came to their mind to worship and serve, idols, graven images, nature and many more. They have wrongly and falsely called them gods, ascribing to them the honour, glory, and power that they do not possess. But what is more disheartening is that many have taken the step to come to Jehovah and still hold on to their false gods for whatever reason. And many of such people are found among churchgoers too. This is an abomination and should not be condoned. Anyone who will serve Jehovah must do so wholeheartedly in total sincerity and truth, nothing lacking. What about you? Are you still keeping your idols happy?

Pray: Merciful Jehovah, let the truth of Christ’s gospel penetrate the innermost parts of people and bring them to repentance. #Mok
