God’s Word for Today - 10 Oct 2026
Luke 10:40 (KJV): But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 10 Oct 2026
Jesus Christ thought His disciples the crucial importance of setting right priorities and doing first things first. And the secular world hammers continually on this principle in the workplace. There is no gain saying it that getting one’s priorities right and doing first things first is even more crucial in spiritual life and in church practice. The apostles of Christ told the growing followership that they would rather focus on prayer and ministry of the word than on leading how food is served to the people. So, they selected faithful, spirit-filled members to deliver that ministry. In today’s assemblies' people are more concerned about peripheral carnal activities than focusing on their spiritual development. As a result, there is growth in numbers, but people are not growing in faith and in the knowledge of God.
Pray: O Lord God, let there be a reorientation of your people to refocus them on getting their priorities right and seeking to know You more. #Mok
