Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 12 May 2026

How heartwarming it is for anyone to testify of one so glowingly as Apostle Paul did of his co-labourer and mentee Timothy to the church in Philippi? Many people in churches today would like this kind of commendation and that is understandable, but very few of them can show behaviour of dedication and integrity with compassion that earned Timothy that reputation. Brethren in churches today are busy competing and treating the journey of faith as a rat race and elbowing, pushing one another rather than showing the character and compassion of Christ. No one can continue in that behaviour and not earn the disdain of people and God’s displeasure. But if you will submit to the Holy Spirit and let Him build you, you will become fruitful and valuable in God’s Vineyard.
