Exodus 23:7 (KJV): Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 14 Sept 2026

One should normally think that those who are found in church communities are adhering strictly to today’s scripture in their daily living, but I believe that would be foolhardy. Any casual observer of community life in many church congregations would tell you that they have witnessed crooked behaviour amongst members that is not different from what obtains in the wider society. This is because the church is a mixed multitude of people on different missions. So, false dealing, slander, deception, oppression, and all manner of corruption are found in many church assemblies. But you must restrain yourself from indulging in such despicable behaviour, instead you must call out those who do them and point them in the way of righteous living. Remember that God does not condone any form of wickedness.
