God’s Word for Today - 19 Oct 2026

Romans 12:1 (KJV): I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 19 Oct 2026

Christ died on the cross as penalty for the sin of humankind because that was the only acceptable sacrifice to God for redeeming humanity to Himself. And because Christ died in our place, we no longer have to pay the mandatory wage for sin, so are given a new lease of life. Everyone who willingly accepts that free gift of salvation that Jehovah offers to all is transformed into a new person and the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in them. Now if you are such a person, today’s scripture is speaking to you. The only way you can start to show your gratitude for what Christ did for you is to surrender completely to the Holy Spirit and let Christ live through you. That is the only sacrifice God desires from you. Will you give him yourself?

Pray: Most excellent Jehovah, thank You for saving me from eternal damnation. Help me to live for You come what may. #Mok
