God’s Word for Today – 20 June 2026
Nahum 1:3 (KJV): The LORD [is] slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit [the wicked]: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds [are] the dust of his feet.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today – 20 June 2026
Let no one make any mistake about Jehovah’s stance on the fate of those who persist in doing evil. God, the Righteous Judge will in no way let the wicked go unpunished, unless they forsake their wicked ways and plead for God’s mercy and forgiveness. How and when God will call the wicked to account for their deeds is at His divine discretion and sovereignty. Suffice it to say that Jehovah works in mysterious ways to assert His authority and perform His judgment. While it is natural human behaviour to fret when evildoers flourish in their wickedness, God’s expectation of those called by His name is to have faith in His divine wisdom and be at peace. Are you called by Jehovah’s name? Fret not about evildoers. Let the Holy Spirit enable you.
Pray: O Lord God, let your grace be sufficient for me to overcome anger about evildoers. #Mok
