God’s Word for Today - 23 Jan 2026
Revelation 2:5 (KJV): Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 23 Jan 2026
It is quite disheartening to know that there are millions of devoted churchgoers who are unaware that they have since stopped following Christ and are now on a path that leads to a different destination than the one they initially embarked upon. One can liken them to the man Samson in the book of judges who was a Judge of Israel endowed by Jehovah with supernatural strength and was firmly instructed from birth never to shave his head. When Samson revealed the secret of his strength to Delilah the harlot with whom he was madly in love, Delilah rocked him to sleep like a baby and shaved his head. She called in the Philistines who came and overpowered him because God’s anointing had left Samson but he was ignorant of this. You must check out if you are still on the right path following Christ. And do a quick course correction if you need to.
Pray: Faithful God, there is no salvation in anyone but You alone. Shield me Lord from the forces wanting to separate me from You. #Mok
