Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 24 July 2026

People often fail to understand that actions have consequences and the consequences from any one action can have ramifications that are not limited to the individual who committed the act and persist into generations after them. When Cain committed the first recorded homicide in the bible he never thought of the consequences of his action as he was blinded by rage because his offering was rejected. God executed vengeance on Cain and garnished it in mercy. There are many people in churches today who are driven by jealousy of their fellows for whatever reasons, legitimate and illegitimate, and who are ready to do anything to avenge themselves. If you are beholden to the spirit of jealousy you must seek to free yourself. Don’t procrastinate.

Pray: Merciful Jehovah, deliver me from the spirit of jealousy and help me to appreciate Your rebuke. #Mok
