Hebrews 11:4 (KJV): By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 06 Sept 2026

Many people keep wondering why God rejected Cain’s sacrifice and accepted Abel’s. And various people are floating many answers that do not tally with what God required. The Bible lets us know that God’s ways are different from our ways and His thoughts are different from ours. Furthermore, the Bible teaches that God is a Spirit and those who worship Jehovah must do so in spirit and in truth. They must believe that God is who He says He is. This is precisely where many church people fail and why God keeps rejecting their sacrifices, because they are not made in faith and in truth. They have motives that they will not be proud to make public, but God sees through everyone. If you want God to testify of you as He did of Abel, then you must let the Holy Spirit purge you and sanctify your offerings.
