Isaiah 57:1 (KJV): The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth [it] to heart: and merciful men [are] taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil [to come].

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 13 Sept 2026

It is very naturally human to be distraught, sad, and angry when people we consider to be good are suddenly taken away from us for whatever reason, including by death. Our sense of justice is tampered with and we feel powerless, so quite often we turn to querying God and some even become angry with Jehovah. In those situations, we are showing how truly little we really know God because Jehovah can never be associated with injustice in any form. And when He chooses to take away the righteous unto Himself it is always for reasons beyond what we can readily comprehend. Suffice it to say that it is always the best reason and best time for it to happen. And most importantly you must know that, for the follower of Christ, there is no better place to be than with Christ. So, do not fret.
