God’s Word for Today - 17 Nov 2025
John 12:5-6 (KJV): Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 17 Nov 2025
There are many who are like Judas Iscariot in today’s scripture pretending to love the poor while the contrary is the case. The spirit of Judas lives on in many church communities where one hears of those entrusted with keeping the purse being the same who siphon money from the purse for personal use. I have also witnessed where money is collected for a certain purpose but was never used for the intended purpose or any purpose for the benefit of the people. The Bible calls this point blank stealing. If you or anyone you know is fond of doing this, know that you are nothing but a thief and you will be called to account. You must stop immediately and restitute by returning what you have stolen. Don’t seek to justify this behaviour in any way because God will not accept excuses for reasons.
Pray: Merciful Jehovah, let everyone who has been dishonest with what they have been entrusted with come to repentance and restitution, and Father have mercy and forgive them. #Mok
