Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 01 July 2026

People's natural disposition to being disadvantaged, oppressed, or persecuted is to seek revenge whenever the opportunity presents itself to them. This is the general attitude of most people, and this attitude is also common among many who are followers of Christ. But this is not what Jesus Christ modelled for His followers to do as today’s scripture confirms. In fact, God wants you to not repay evil done to you with evil, but to repay evil with good. You say, how can I? And yes, you cannot do it by willpower alone. You must allow the Holy Ghost to help you. If you are truly following Christ, you have the Holy Spirit in you to help you walk in the way of Christ. Submit to the Holy Spirit and let Him help you.
