God’s Word for Today - 23 Aug 2026

James 5:15 (KJV): And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 23 Aug 2026

There are tonnes of prayers raised unto God every day by the people of God for countless reasons and some of them go unanswered because those who raised them did so without faith that God will hearken to them. They are doubtful about God’s promise to answer them when they cry unto Him in faith. Today’s scripture makes us realise the awesome power that accompanies every prayer that we offer to God in trust. God does more than we ask for. So, we pray for healing and God throws in some extras that we need but did not know to ask for. That is Jehovah’s nature, always seizing every opportunity to bless those who trust in Him. And if you are a child of God, you must seek to develop a closer relationship with Him and trust Him deeply.

Pray: Benevolent God, help me to fully trust in You and to never doubt Your promises. #Mok
