Matthew 9:13 (KJV): But go ye and learn what [that] meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 04 Jan 2026

Christ’s mission to the world was crystal clear and unambiguous. It was to reconcile humanity to their Creator and show them the way to be saved and become children of Jehovah. All that emanated from the love and mercy of God who will not have anyone to perish and be separated from Him for eternity. It is thus a no brainer that God expects all those who follow Christ to be full of love and mercy for others. That’s what Christ modelled and that’s what God demands. Sadly, many who claim to be ambassadors for Christ fall short of God’s expectation and put their focus on other things rather than showing love and mercy and concern for souls who Christ died for but are at risk of perishing. I urge you to awake to your call and heed Jehovah’s command.
