God’s Word for Today - 05 Apr 2026
Proverbs 22:1 (KJV): A [good] name [is] rather to be chosen than great riches, [and] loving favour rather than silver and gold.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 05 Apr 2026
It is sad to see that society today cherishes material possessions far above personal character. Today a good name has little to no value, while wealth, whether stolen or legitimate, is often worshiped by all and sundry. This is contrary to what God expects, but we live in a world that is broken and heavily influenced by satan. But those who Christ has redeemed and saved are called out to be different by following the culture of God’s kingdom of light. Their focus must be on God, and their yearning must be for the righteousness of Christ not for silver and gold that will perish. On which side are you?
Pray: Omnipotent Jehovah, help me to fix my gaze upon You and not on fleeting wealth. #Mok
