Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 06 May 2026

Today’s scripture is Jehovah’s conditional offer to those who are called by His name. Though it was specifically directed at the children of Israel, it turns out that it is a universally applicable principle for anyone seeking to live peaceably. There must be a willingness and there must be obedience if you want God to fulfill His promises. And this is where the problem lies for many people. Most are willing to partake of the promises of Christ, but few are ready to do what is required. They struggle with the obedience aspect of the bargain. Many want to have eternal life, but they do not want to deny themselves and follow Christ. So many have received the gift of salvation but will have nothing to do with sanctification that the Holy Spirit offers. You must take both to be fully His.

Pray: Heavenly Lord, help me to be both willing and obedient to receive the promise. #Mok
