Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 07 Apr 2026

Many in the world are running helter-skelter and chasing shadows in a bid to make it big in life. Mostly they do this out of envy and wanting to be like the Joneses of this world. They are ignorant of the fact that everyone has a different path and different mission in life, so it is foolhardy to want to run another person’s race and expect to get to your own destination. It is bemusing when this is happening among churchgoers who claim to know Christ intimately. They ought to know that without God’s enabling grace and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, one cannot run a successful race, and this can only happen in the time God has appointed. You must let God lead you.
