God’s Word for Today - 07 Dec 2025

Ephesians 5:4 (KJV): Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 07 Dec 2025

All those who follow Christ in spirit and in truth are all work in progress for as long as they live on this side of eternity, so it is not uncommon to come across many who waste valuable time in doing and saying things that do not edify and add no value to anyone. Gossiping and denigrating others and engaging in worthless arguments over irrelevant matters have become a pastime of many in the household of faith. This behaviour is condemnable and anyone who names Christ as Saviour and Lord should not be associated with such behaviour. While one may fall foul of this now and again, it must never become a lifestyle and one must strive always to always put a check on one’s behaviour. This, one must do to please Jehovah.

Pray: Everlasting Father, please help me to bridle my tongue and only to use it for edifying others and glorifying You. #Mok
