God’s Word for Today - 08 Aug 2026
Acts 1:14 (KJV): These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 08 Aug 2026
The early followers of Christ were described as being united in purpose and with unfeigned motive and passion for the Lord Jesus Christ. They did all things in common and had all things in common, such that none of them had too much or too little. The unity and love among them were so intense that God did remarkable things through them. They were so unique that the people of Antioch referred to them as Christians because they were like Christ. And for as long as they remained faithful and truthful, dwelling in Christ, the Holy Spirit had free expression in their midst. Over time vagabond elements began to infiltrate them because some started to compromise the Gospel of Truth to accommodate human philosophy and degenerate cultures of society. Today it is sad to say that not all those who call themselves Christians are following the Jesus Christ of the Bible.
Pray: Merciful God, let Your fire fall and sanctify and restore Your Church. #Mok
