Isaiah 66:2 (KJV): For all those [things] hath mine hand made, and all those [things] have been, saith the LORD: but to this [man] will I look, [even] to [him that is] poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 09 Nov 2025

The verdict as to whom Jehovah will show respect and honour cannot be clearer than is stated in today’s scripture. The Creator of the entire universe declares unequivocally the kind of behaviour that matters to Him and He expects of everyone who He created. It is that person who revers and fears God, is humble and has a repentant spirit that will have the honour and privilege of being counted worthy of God’s attention. No doubt that there are many who desire to be in this position and it is indeed desirable, but it will only remain a wishful thinking until one intentionally chooses to follow Christ in spirit and in truth. It is not possible to please Jehovah without first accepting His free gift of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. God has redeemed all humanity unto Himself by Christ’s sacrificial death but only those who accept the gift of salvation are saved. Will you be saved?
