God’s Word for Today - 11 Jan 2026
Mark 2:17 (KJV): When Jesus heard [it], he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 11 Jan 2026
Jesus Christ was always unequivocal about those for whom He came. They are the humble in spirit who acknowledge their shortcomings and total inability to deliver themselves from the stranglehold of sin. He made it very clear that He did not come for the self-righteous who are too proud and too blind to see that they are on the path that leads to destruction. Christ sharply rebuked them, peradventure their conscience would be pricked and they would repent and forsake their prideful ways. The world today is still full of such characters who deny their need for divine redemption to save their souls from perishing in hell. They are found everywhere, even in churches, and among those in church leadership. What about you? Are you one of those who consider themselves righteous? If so, you are on slippery ground and must repent and take on the righteousness imparted by God through faith in Christ.
Pray: Righteous Jehovah, thank You for saving me and putting upon me the righteousness of Christ. #Mok
