John 7:4 (KJV): For [there is] no man [that] doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today – 12 Mar 2026

In today’s scripture we see how the world thinks about how things should be done. They teach that one must openly display one’s achievements publicly to be recognised and become famous. That is how the world system works, but Christ modelled a different and more excellent way for us. In the verses following today’s scripture Christ teaches that there is an appointed time to launch a project that has been perfected in secret. So, it is foolish to launch out before receiving the signal from the Holy Spirit your Enabler. You must never be in such a hurry that you will set out before God gives you the go ahead. Do not let anyone, whosoever they may be, goad you into acting prematurely because you will regret doing so. Wait always upon God.

Pray: Omnipotent God, please help me to patiently wait for Your appointed time and never to launch out on my own. #Mok
