God’s Word for Today - 13 May 2026

1 Thessalonians 2:8 (KJV): So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 13 May 2026

How wonderful it would be if all church leaders were like Apostle Paul in today’s scripture, ever willing to go beyond the call of duty for the sake of the flock of Christ? Alas, that seems not to be the case as it looks like there are more church leaders who are doing the exact opposite. They feed the flock with a watered-down menu of the gospel and fleece them of their possessions. This is not only regrettable, but also highly condemnable. If you or anyone you know is guilty of this, you must cease and desist, repent, and ask God for forgiveness. Your duty is to nurture the flock of Christ faithfully and truthfully, even at your own detriment. Don’t leave it till tomorrow.

Pray: Merciful God, please give me power to draw upon Your grace in service to Your flock. #Mok
