Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 14 Aug 2026

Prayer has many genres and many people have little understanding of when and how to pray the right type of prayer in any given situation. But those who are humble enough to lean on the Holy Spirit will find it extremely rewarding to allow the Holy Spirit to pray through them. More often than not people are prone to being selfish when they pray, usually focusing on themselves and their own needs rather than praying in line with biblical injunctions. For instance, the Bible admonishes that people pray for all, and in particular for those who are in authority so that people can live peacefully. Sadly, people do the contrary and rain curses on leaders and then complain that things are going haywire in society. You must change your prayer stance.
