God’s Word for Today - 14 Dec 2025
Romans 16:4 (KJV): Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 14 Dec 2025
There are many people in and outside of churches today who have been hurt and disappointed by people in churches who can be described as ingrates. Their ingratitude is causing pain and making people to be wary of doing the good they know is right to do. But Apostle Paul in today’s scripture models for us how anyone who has been a recipient of help and support should respond in gratitude and intercession for their benefactors. When Christ healed ten lepers only one came back to offer thanks and was made whole. The other nine thought it was their birthright and never bothered to show gratitude. That’s how many in churches do and it is absolutely wrong. I implore you to emulate Apostle Paul and always be grateful for everything you receive for that is what pleases God.
Pray: Everlasting Father, give me a heart of gratitude and let me never take any support from anyone as my birthright. #Mok
