Philippians 1:18 (KJV): What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 16 May 2026

It is not abnormal for those who are genuinely following Christ to be disillusioned and even angry when people are spreading the gospel of Christ with impure motives to fleece others. Today’s scripture tells us what should concern us instead. That what matters is that Christ is being preached, and people are getting to know about Christ and His selfless sacrifice for humanity to reconcile humans to God. It is extremely important that everyone who is truthfully following Christ dutifully intercedes for those who are not following with a pure motive that they will repent and change. And if you are the one preaching and following Christ with an impure motive, I implore you to sincerely examine yourself and fully submit to the Holy Spirit to guide you in the right path.
