God’s Word for Today - 18 May 2026
Luke 10:29 (KJV): But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 18 May 2026
“Who is my neighbour” is a question many people struggle with. They view the question through a very narrow prism and usually interpret it as those who are close to them in one way or another. That definition may fit the worldview but falls very short of God’s view. And Jesus illustrated that divine view with a simple and unforgettable parable of the Good Samaritan. There are many people in churches today who, though they have heard the parable several times, nevertheless refuse to or struggle to follow its teachings. If you are in that camp, I urge you to reassess your position and determine to be a neighbour indeed to everyone who is in need and offer them the help that God has put in your power to give.
Pray: Gracious Jehovah, grant me the grace to be there for those in need and to help them. #Mok
