Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 19 May 2026

Jesus Christ modelled what true leadership looks like. He taught the disciples that a genuine leader would devote him- or herself completely to serving, guiding, and protecting those who have come to be with them. Many church and ministry leaders today are not like that. Rather than serve, they insist that people should serve them instead. And they lord it over others to the extent of being ridiculous in their demands on others. This is contrary to God’s expectation of leaders, so if you are guilty of this, you must repent and begin to emulate Christ’s leadership model. Let your leadership of people be a form of worship of Jehovah who has allowed you to assume the role.
