Deuteronomy 25:1 (KJV): If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that [the judges] may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 19 Sept 2026

It is inevitable that people will have causes that they cannot resolve by themselves and have to involve others to help them find a right solution. The causes may touch upon many issues in life and can involve two or more people and groups of people, and if not impartially resolved, may result in avoidable harm to either or all of the parties involved. We see this not only in the secular world but also in church communities. Cases are judged not based solely on the merits but on various nefarious factors like social status, nepotism, bribery, and all forms of bias. Perversion of justice is as common in the churches as it is in the general society and that should not be. God will not look kindly upon anyone who perverts justice simply because they can, so you must refuse to be a part of those who do.
