Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 21 Aug 2026

Every follower of Christ has been called to the ministry of intercession and supplication for all of society. They owe it a duty to God to stand in the gap in prayer for the good of all people and for peaceful coexistence in justice and equity. Daniel in today’s scripture, while in Babylonian captivity, did not joke with his duty, and you too should not. Unfortunately, what one sees today in many church assemblies is that much praying is indeed going on, but it is mostly misplaced, being focused mainly on self and selfish desires. Many have even turned their praying into mere religious rituals that do not resemble what Christ teaches in the Bible. But you can choose to be different and go back to emulating what the scriptures teach.

Pray: O Lord God, guide me by Your Spirit in the way of effective intercession. #Mok
