God’s Word for Today - 21 Nov 2025
James 2:3 (KJV): And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 21 Nov 2025
Discrimination and unequal treatment should not be seen or heard of in the community of those who claim to be following Christ. Alas, this is often the rule in many places rather than the exception. There are many unjust practices in church life that would surprise the most naïve people of other faiths. At the receiving end of most discriminations and injustices are those who are judged as undeserving because of their unenviable socioeconomic status or condition. Whilst the poor are not valued by their fellow humans, even those in churches, God holds them in high esteem because He made them in His image as He did all humans. And Jehovah will defend them to the utmost. If you are guilty of disrespecting and devaluing the poor because they are poor, you are on the warpath with Jehovah. It is a battle you can never win, so give up and start to do right.
Pray: Oh Lord God, I repent of being part of an unjust system, please have mercy and forgive me. Help me to change Lord. #Mok
