Exodus 12:36 (KJV): And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them [such things as they required]. And they spoiled the Egyptians.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 22 Apr 2026

It is unquestionably right for any normal person to want favour from people. But most people do not understand that true and enduring favour comes from God alone. When God favours someone, He causes them to receive favour from others without any hardship. With God’s favour upon you, you do not have to devise crafty schemes to convince anyone to support you, they will simply offer to help you, and sometimes you may not even need to ask. So, how does one become God’s favoured person? By acknowledging you are a sinner and accepting God’s gift of salvation through faith in Christ. Are you willing to do that and start a relationship with Jehovah?
