Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 22 Nov 2025

I recall a conversation I had with a church leader many years ago who told me that people respect you and value your opinion only if you are rich because that’s the only thing that matters to them. It doesn’t matter that you have the solution to the problem confronting them, they don’t believe that any poor person could have sufficient wisdom that would benefit them in their situation. This is quite common in society and it is very sad that church ministries are no exception. Jehovah gives wisdom to the humble who ask for it, but those who are arrogant, because they think they are rich, are devoid of reason and wisdom. I implore you never to despise anyone because you think they are poor and have nothing they can offer you. They may hold the key to opening that door you have been labouring to open without success.
