Nehemiah 2:20 (KJV): Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 24 Feb 2026

The people who lead churches and para-church ministries can learn a lot from the leadership style of Nehemiah. It is not uncommon to find many leaders who when they embark on a project, no matter its nature, soliciting for financial and related support from diverse sources, even places and people whose activities and lifestyles are contrary to what Jehovah would approve. One would ask why they want to pollute what they are offering to God out of their ignorance or I don’t care attitude. They seem to subscribe to the idea that the end justifies the means. I tell you this is not so with Jehovah. Taking money and support from unscrupulous individuals of doubtful integrity and enterprises involved in dubious business is not acceptable to Christ. Refuse to work with those who are still in darkness.
