God’s Word for Today – 24 June 2026
Romans 14:13 (KJV): Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in [his] brother's way.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today – 24 June 2026
Human beings naturally love to criticise and judge others, even for behaviours that they themselves are guilty of. And churchgoers are not any different. But this ought not to be so, especially not among those who claim to be disciples of Christ. The Bible enjoins those who have been forgiven by God to do so for others, showing mercy and much grace as they guide others in the way of righteous living. And to scrutinise one’s own actions and behaviour to make sure that they are not causing others to derail in their journey of faith in Christ. You must know that if you cause anyone to fall irretrievably into sin God will not acquit you, though they will bear the consequences for their own sin. So, beware and refrain from being a hindrance to others.
Pray: Merciful Jehovah, help me never to be a stumbling block to others. #Mok
