God’s Word for Today - 24 May 2026
1 Peter 3:10 (KJV): For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 24 May 2026
The Bible makes us understand that we cause a lot of havoc in society because we fail to tame the tongue. That lack of control over how we use our tongue is also the nemesis of many, including those who are running the race of faith in Christ. There are many folks in church communities who are specialists in maligning others, who spread falsehoods and who simply love to disparage anyone for no good reason. People who behave this way are hypocrites and enemies of Christ and you don’t want to be like them or associate with them lest they corrupt you too. And if you are already entangled with them you need to extricate yourself without delay. Whichever one you are, I urge you to act and realign yourself with Christ’s righteous way of living.
Pray: Holy Lord, deliver me from the wrongful use of my tongue and empower me to use my tongue to edify only. #Mok
