God’s Word for Today - 24 Nov 2025
Proverbs 31:9 (KJV): Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 24 Nov 2025
Are you among those people who love to play it safe by looking away when injustice is being perpetrated? You feel unconcerned when the underprivileged and defenceless are being oppressed and exploited, saying that it is not in your place to intervene and would rather not interfere. How then do you want to justify your claim of following in Christ’s footsteps? Jesus Christ never shied away from defending the poor and needy, those who are bullied and oppressed and those who are denied basic justice. The proof of your discipleship is doing what Christ did and would do in such situations. That’s how you show your love for others. And God has given you the Holy Spirit to guide you in these matters, so you don’t have to do it on your own. Draw upon God’s abundant grace through the Holy Ghost dwelling in you, be the champion of the needy.
Pray: Divine Holy Ghost my Helper, please give me grace and boldness to champion the cause of those suffering injustice. #Mok
