God’s Word for Today - 25 Apr 2026

Acts 7:10 (KJV): And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 25 Apr 2026

Many people are often baffled that dreadful things happen to good people, especially those who are following Christ. Some conclude that if one is in Christ and is bombarded with various afflictions, it must mean that one is either being punished for some secret sins or one is out of God’s divine plan and out of favour with God. The truth is that trials and tribulations are part and parcel of God’s plan for everyone in Christ and the beauty of it is that God delivers one from all the afflictions and sets one in the place of honour. So, if you are in Christ and being afflicted, understand this as a trial of your faith and draw strength from Christ to endure because your victory is certain.

Pray: Merciful God, I am depending on You to see me through every affliction and to uplift me. #Mok
