Psalm 69:13 (KJV): But as for me, my prayer [is] unto thee, O LORD, [in] an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 25 Aug 2026

It is not uncommon to find some people who profess faith in Christ who are also in the habit of patronising false gods, secretly or openly. And they justify their action by saying heaven helps those who help themselves. Such people are either ignorant or deluded or both because Christ plainly tells us that no one can serve two masters. It is not possible to serve Jehovah and be dining with the devil. And this is precisely what anyone who prays to Christ and goes to offer sacrifices on altars raised to false gods is doing. The Psalmist was not like that. He depended only upon Jehovah and focused his prayers on God. What about you?

Pray: Merciful God, let my prayers always be unto You and let me never have occasion to seek false gods. #Mok
