Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 26 Aug 2026

Failure by some followers of Christ to heed the biblical injunction in today’s scripture is at the root of some of the marital problems that we see in homes today. And those problems when not handled with the sensitivity and seriousness they deserve have led to the disintegration of spousal harmony and eventually to separation and even divorce in extreme cases. Sexual intimacy is integral to a good marital union and must not be neglected except by mutual consent and only for short periods for reasons that are understood and accepted by both parties. To deny a spouse that intimacy is to open the door for the devil to mess up your union and destroy your home and your future. No right-thinking person would want that, so why would you. Let the Holy Spirit help you to resolve any matter you may have with your spouse.

Pray: Divine Spirit of God, give me wisdom to be receptive to the sexual need of my spouse. #Mok
