Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 27 May 2026

Many people have been sold a false gospel about life in Christ. Very many were told that once you accept Christ as your Saviour and Lord, everything becomes smooth sailing for you in life. As a result, a lot become disappointed and disillusioned and many fall by the wayside. Their faith derailed and their hope for a life in Christ dashed. But the truth you must know is that salvation is free, that coming to Christ costs you nothing, but following Christ and staying in Christ will cost you everything. That is the gospel truth. Jesus Christ spoke plainly about this, so nobody should deceive you by telling you otherwise. The world will persecute you when you follow Christ and the devil will harass and frustrate you, but you will always overcome through Christ because you have the Holy Spirit in you.

Pray: Almighty Father, I receive Your grace to run the race of life in Christ. Please help me to overcome every persecution. #Mok
