Psalm 1:1 (KJV): Blessed [is] the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today – 29 June 2026

Today’s scripture is crystal clear on the behavioural habits of those who God considers to be living in line with His will and what impact that has on them and their overall wellbeing. You can be sure that when you refuse to take counsel from the enemies of Christ, you avoid any association with those who choose to live in sin, and you do not socialise with scorners, God will single you out as a person of interest. It is not surprising that many churchgoers love to claim the promise of God in Psalm 1, but as is often the case, most of them behave in ways that are completely contrary to God’s expectations. I implore you to choose the right set of behaviours that glorify God and you will be blessed indeed.
