God’s Word for Today - 30 Apr 2026

Proverbs 18:22 (KJV): [Whoso] findeth a wife findeth a good [thing], and obtaineth favour of the LORD.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 30 Apr 2026

Since the event of the Garden of Eden when Adam blamed God for giving him Eve as wife, Jehovah withdrew from assigning wives to people. It is now every man’s responsibility to find himself a wife. And the Bible makes us understand that when a man finds a wife God releases favour upon the new union. But Jehovah does not leave anyone alone without right guidance, so the Bible is full of excellent counsel of how to go about looking for a wife and what character traits to look out for in any woman one wants to marry. You don’t need any prophet or pastor or anybody for that matter to choose for you. It is your responsibility to do that, and you should not abandon it to anyone. But you can make use of godly counsel from people who you know and trust are following Christ.

Pray: Holy Spirit my Guide and Counsellor, lead me to the one who is right for me. #Mok
