Reflection on God’s Word for Today – 31 Mar 2026

Today’s scripture is a direct rebuke of a common practice among many churches and para-church ministries and individual churchgoers. They love to make public display of their charitable works for vain glory and praise from people. It is nauseating to see how such people flaunt themselves as they turn an act that should be done in all humility in private into a public spectacle of arrogance and humiliation of the recipients. God calls us all to be charitable and compassionate and to do so in humility and for His glory not ours. You must realise that God blesses you so you can bless others. You are privileged to be in the position of being able to give to others. Cherish this and be thankful to God.
