God’s Word for Today - 31 May 2026

1 Chronicles 28:9 (KJV): And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 31 May 2026

Many parents strive continually to leave what they consider to be a worthy legacy for their children, and that is right so. But only a few realise that there is no better legacy to bequeath to one’s children than to raise and nurture them to love, fear and serve God wholeheartedly. No legacy surpasses that. King David realised this and admonished Solomon, his heir to the throne, to seek God and fear Him. As a parent you must stop chasing perishable treasures and focus on giving your children the true treasure that no one can take from them, ever.
